Room for growth: warehouse expansion
Flanders Brush Makers' recent growth and the increasing demand for high-quality products necessitated a significant expansion of its logistics capacity. 1,000m² of warehouse space will be added, providing not only 1,000 pallet spaces, but also an expansion for production space in the current buildings. This strategic investment will enable Flanders Brush Makers to manage its growing stock more efficiently and respond even better to customers' needs. This additional space is a crucial step in ensuring smooth and efficient distribution of Plubo, our house brand of brushes.
Sustainability as a foundation: halving carbon emissions
Flanders Brush Makers takes its responsibility towards the environment seriously. An important step in this commitment was already taken in 2022 with the complete replacement of all asbestos-containing roofs with modern sandwich panels with a high insulation value. This investment is already bearing concrete fruit. Flanders Brush Makers is proud to announce that CO₂ emissions for heating will be halved in 2024 compared to 2022. This significant reduction underlines the company's ambition to produce in a sustainable way and make a positive contribution to a greener future. We also launched an energy monitoring of electrical consumption together with Oktow from Izegem.
Increasing delivery reliability: investing in a sprinkler system
In a production environment, continuity is crucial. To increase delivery reliability to customers, Flanders Brush Makers plans further investment in a state-of-the-art sprinkler system. A fire can quickly put a production facility out of action for a year and a half, with significant impact on deliveries. By taking this proactive measure, we significantly minimise this risk. This investment in fire prevention demonstrates the company's commitment to be a stable and reliable partner for customers, and to ensure uninterrupted deliveries even in unforeseen circumstances.
